My blogging adventure has connected me with many great writers. Making these connections and helping others get the word out about their work has turned out to be as rewarding for me as sharing my own writing – just another example of how taking a leap often exceeds expectations, and how connecting with others always initiates more positive connections.
Earlier this year I introduced you to Tim Lewthwaite, a good friend and colleague of mine. I have known Tim for years, but it was not until after I launched my blog that I happily learned of our mutual interest in writing. I am honored to share more news about his book HORN, a fast-paced thriller that takes the reader into southern Africa on the trail of ruthless poachers, who are bent on controlling the illegal wildlife trade.
Tim has traveled extensively in Namibia and South Africa where much of the action takes place. During his travels, he has had many face-to-face encounters with the iconic animals that are featured in the book. His in-depth research on the animals, people and locales shines through in this pacey book.
PLUS…if the promise of an action-packed read is not enough of an incentive to check out this book, Tim will be donating 5% of royalties from the sale of HORN to rhino conservation efforts. So if you are looking for a good read that transports you to an exotic and rarely visited part of the world, while simultaneously supporting rhino conservation efforts, you can’t go wrong with HORN.
Tim Lewthwaite is a writer and editor covering the zoo and aquarium industry in North America. His interests include publishing, wildlife, photography, horses and good fiction.
