Please click here to sign up for a 10-minute appointment time.

The People Project is an evening of original compositions written and performed by students, directed by local theatre artist Lisa Cadigan. The project aims to take an audience on a well-crafted journey that celebrates diversity by giving voice to personal stories and experiences, in the form of original readings performed live, on-stage by their authors.

The theme for the 2018 People Project is HOME.

What does “home” mean to you? Is it a place? A person? A memory? Maybe you can “go” there where ever you are, or maybe you have not been there yet … Interpretation of this theme is wide open.

What are we looking for?

Writer/performers, Musicians, and/or Artists

The cast will collaboratively select live or recorded music to frame the performance. Artists interested in producing publicity materials or multi-media materials for the performance should contact Lisa Cadigan.

Audition pieces should be a maximum of 1,200 words (about 5-6 minutes in duration when read aloud). Stories should be written in the first person. Original musical compositions/performances and poetry will also be considered.

Please bring two copies of your piece to the audition – one to read, and one to leave behind. You do not need to memorize your piece.

There is very little rehearsal time required.

Performance dates:
Friday, April 6 at 7 pm and
Sunday, April 8 at 2 pm
